Man With Shotgun Robs Valley Rosauers

From Staff And Wire Reports

A man armed with a shotgun robbed a Spokane Valley grocery store late Monday and ordered employees to lie on the floor, authorities said.

The Sheriff’s deputies said an employee was in the customer-service booth at Rosauers, 8517 E. Trent, shortly before 11 p.m. when she was approached by a man armed with a single-barreled shotgun.

The robber ordered the employee to put money in a backpack, then demanded that she summon the night manager. He pointed the shotgun at the night manager and ordered him to open the safe, which he did.

Before leaving, the gunman ordered the employees to lie on the floor. Authorities wouldn’t say how much money he got.

A sheriff’s dog lost the man’s scent a short distance away.

The robber was described as a man in his late 20s, about 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10, wearing a blue or black and white flannel shirt, dark gloves, jeans and possibly high-top tennis shoes.

The man also wore a blue bandanna over his face and wireframe sunglasses, a dark baseball cap and dark knapsack, sheriff’s officials said. , DataTimes
