Swinton To Play At Portland

Jennifer Swinton, a 6-foot-1 forward at Ferris, has made an oral commitment to attend the University of Portland on a basketball scholarship.

Swinton was a second-team All Greater Spokane League selection last year after averaging 11.1 points and helping the Saxons to a 20-7 record. She also was one of five players on the first All-Area team selected by The Spokesman-Review.

She will join former Central Valley standout Kristin Hepton at Portland. , DataTimes
