Day, Lister Off To Boston; Douglas Goes To Milwaukee

Compiled From Wire Services

Milwaukee, looking to jump start its offense, traded guard Todd Day and center Alton Lister to the Boston Celtics on Sunday for point guard Sherman Douglas.”The team hasn’t been playing that well and we were looking to make a change,” Bucks coach Mike Dunleavy said.

Douglas is “a veteran point guard who … can provide us with strong leadership. He has the ability to run a team.”

Bucks guard Eric Murdock said the dealing isn’t done yet. Murdock believes he will be sent to another NBA team.

“I really think I’m going to move (Monday), that’s the latest I’ve heard. I’m very happy if that is the case,” Murdock said before Sunday night’s home game with Minnesota. “It’s part of the game. It’s part of the business. It won’t be hard.”

The Bucks also activated center Kevin Duckworth from the injured list. He was acquired in an Oct. 18 trade with Washington but went on the injured list Oct. 31 after arthroscopic surgery on his right knee.
