Chiefs Lose Shootout Zednik’s Four Goals Lift Portland To 10-8 Win

Richard Zednik had four goals and an assist as the Portland Winter Hawks snapped the Spokane Chiefs’ four-game winning streak with a 10-8 victory Wednesday night in Portland.

Greg Leeb’s goal at the 18:54 mark of the second period gave Spokane an 8-6 lead, but the Winter Hawks proceeded to score four unanswered goals.

Zednik scored the game-winner 15:51 into the third period, and 4 minutes later Matt Davidson capped Portland’s scoring with an unassisted shot on an empty net. Randy Favaro tallied two goals and two assists for Spokane.
