The first time Rogers had the ball, the Pirates went 63 yards and chewed up 4:28. The third time, it was 66 yards and 5:11, but they turned the ball over on downs at the NC 17 and 13, respectively. In between, Williams had his TD…. After Rogers’ first drive, NC went from its 14 to the end zone with a 12-play, 5:42 drive to take a 7-0 lead. … After NC ate up most of the third quarter with an opening drive before giving the ball up on downs near the Rogers 20, the Pirates went 78 yards to score, helped by a roughing the punter penalty and a fourth down conversion. They scored with 43 seconds left.
