Boys Plead Guilty To Raping Girl

Two of eight boys arrested in the gang rape of an 11-year-old girl in Hermiston earlier this summer have pleaded guilty to rape charges, while a third pleaded guilty to menacing and assault.

Umatilla County District Attorney Christopher Brauer said he agreed to a plea bargain in which burglary charges against the three were dropped.

Cresencio Macias, 14, and Richardo J. Avila, 13, pleaded guilty to rape charges in a juvenile court hearing Wednesday before Circuit Judge Jack Olsen.
