More Than $9 Million Donated To UI
Private donations to the University of Idaho during the year that ended July 1 exceeded $9.2 million, nearly $400,000 more than the year before.
The money came from 14,770 donors, about 1,000 more than a year earlier.
Gifts designated for scholarships exceeded $2 million. Alumni, corporations and foundations designated more than $4.3 million to benefit faculty members and academic programs, and Idaho athletics received more than $900,000 in private gifts.
More than 50 volunteers were involved in regional fund-raising among Idaho alumni for the Cornerstone of Innovation campaign to finance a new engineering/physics building.
