Reardan-Edwall School Bond Failing
The Reardan-Edwall School District’s fourth try at a construction bond since 1988 was failing late Tuesday.
The $4 million, 20-year bond would have built a 10-classroom middle school, bought land for a future elementary school and added two classrooms to the high school.
The bond would have raised taxes by $1.49 per $1,000 of assessed property value. The owner of a $100,000 home would have paid an additional $149 a year for 20 years.
The bond needed 60 percent approval to pass.
