Mead Keeps Rolling, Wins 4-0

Mead remained undefeated and at the top of the Greater Spokane League girls soccer standings after beating Lewis and Clark 4-0 at Mead Junior High on Monday.

Allison Beatty scored one goal and had one assist for the Panthers (7-0-0-0). Anna Adolphson had seven saves for the Tigers (3-1-0-3).

Katrina Morton, Kellie Leaf and Jaclyn Burton accounted for the rest of Mead’s scoring.

At the north complex, University freshman Megan Black scored three times as the Titans blanked North Central 6-0.

Emily Stunkel scored two goals for U-Hi (4-0-0-3). Cami McGowen had 11 saves for the Indians (0-2-0-5).

At Ferris, goalkeeper Ida Hardin and the Saxons kept the pressure on first-place Mead by shutting out visiting Shadle Park 4-0.

Mariah McConnaughey and Megan Cummings each had one goal and an assist for Ferris (6-0-0-1).

Gonzaga Prep held host Rogers to just two shots on goal as the Bullpups defeated the Pirates 8-1.

Angie Ferraro pulled off a hat trick by scoring twice in the first half and once in the second for G-Prep (5-0-0-2).

Rogers’ freshman Kara Hines’ first GSL score was the Pirates’ only goal.
