Compiled By Staff Writer Rick Bo

The latest installment in the Macaulay Culkin saga finds the 15-year-old actor ready to dip into his estimated $17 million fortune to bail out the near-bankrupt parents who are battling for control of his career.

According to the New York Daily News, Culkin is so upset about his parents’ custody battle over him and his siblings that he’s giving up acting until the situation is resolved.

The “Home Alone” star is reportedly asking a judge to approve a financial aid plan for Christopher “Kit” Culkin and Patricia Brentrup, who have spent so much on their bitter legal squabbles that they’re near bankruptcy.

According to court papers, he’s also seeking to remove the couple, who have never married, as his legal guardians because their fights have made the arrangement “unworkable.”

Fergie and her ex-husband, Prince Andrew, were the picture of diplomacy Monday at a charity golf tournament in London, laughing as they posed for photos with their two daughters. On the other hand, Princess Diana was conspicuously absent from Queen Mother Elizabeth’s recent birthday party, attended by Prince Charles and their two sons.

Starting with Will, Harry and their parents

Star magazine, meanwhile, claims that NBC’s “Today” show has offered Diana $5.8 million over three years to become a monthly correspondent. The princess reportedly is interested in doing human interest pieces on children who overcome enormous odds to survive.

Flamboyant basketball star Dennis Rodman bought an oceanfront duplex in Newport Beach, Calif., for a reported $825,000. While Rodman will only live there a few months a year, his real estate agent said: “He bought first of all because we made a good buy, but he also enjoys being on the beach and watching all of the scenery on the beach.”

So would he have liked Rodman, or not?

Guests at a star-studded Beverly Hills fund-raising dinner last week for the Dalai Lama, hosted by Harrison Ford and Richard Gere, were warned by fax of the fashion protocol, reports USA Today: “His Holiness enjoys bright colors but is uncomfortable with too much skin.”
