Lakeside Opens League With Bang

Area boys

Lakeside’s boys waited until late in the season to reach their peak last year.

If Friday’s 77-63 Northeast A League-opening win over visiting Chewelah is any indication, the Eagles won’t wait so long this time.

Travis Meserve scored 28, including 8-of-9 shooting from the line, to lead the defending league champ Cougars (1-1, 0-1).
