EV Students Collecting Christmas Trees

East Valley High School band members and volunteers will be collecting and recycling Christmas trees on four days, beginning today.

The service continues Sunday and Jan. 4 and 5.

Trees can be dropped off at the following collection sites between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.: Otis Orchards Elementary school, 22000 E. Wellesley, Trent Elementary, 3303 N. Pines, and in the parking lot between East Valley high school and middle school, near the corner of Sullivan Road and Wellesley Avenue.

Residents in the East Valley area who want their trees picked up should call 927-9501 for an appointment.

Prices are $3 to drop a tree off at one of the collection sites or $5 for tree pick-up service.

The event is sponsored by the high school’s band boosters.
