Dove-Winning Point Of Grace Will Perform At Shadle

Shadle Park High School’s auditorium will be blessed with a top-notch Christian music concert on Thursday night.

Word Recording artist Point of Grace headlines the show, which starts at 7:30. Scott Krippayne and Aaron/Jeoffrey will also be on stage.

Point of Grace, an all-female quartet, is rapidly becoming the biggest name in contemporary Christian pop music. The group, which arrived on the scene in 1994, secured a Dove award - the Christian equivalent of a Grammy - for best new artist.

All nine of the group’s singles have rocketed to No. 1 on the Christian charts.

Point of Grace’s self-titled debut and its sophomore effort, “The Whole Truth,” sold more than 700,000 units combined, which is impressive, considering Christian releases rarely crack the six-figure mark.

On Thursday, Point of Grace will sing to a soundtrack of synthesizers, drum machines and horns, not a live band.

Tickets, $12 ($14 at the door), are available at all area Christian bookstores. A limited number of gold circle seats are on sale for $17.

For groups, it’s $10 per person.
