Ronicle Jacobson Spokane

Memorial service for Ronicle G. Jacobson, 96, is set for 1 p.m. today at Hennessey Valley Funeral Home. Private burial will be at Spokane Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Jacobson, a 59-year Spokane resident, died Thursday. He was born in Sweden.

He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church. He was very active in ballroom dancing and also had been a square dancer.

He had worked as a millwright and retired in 1971.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Roberta Jacobson of Spokane; two sons, Robert Jacobson of Spokane, and James Jacobson of Denver; one daughter, Susan Nees of Spokane; eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.

Keith Hall Chewelah, Wash.

Graveside service for Keith Gilson Hall, 80, is planned for 11 a.m. Tuesday at Chewelah City Cemetery. Schanzenbach Funeral Home in Chewelah is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Hall, who was born in Miller, Mo., died Thursday in Spokane.

He was an 80-year Chewelah resident and was a self-employed carpenter.

Survivors include three sisters, Dora Salsman of Chewelah, Betty Wallin of Colville, Wash., and Elizabeth Wilson of Spokane; two brothers, Clarence Zeihen of Victor, Mont., and Frank Zeihen of Chewelah.

Memorial contributions may be made to Chewelah Public Library.

Charles Smith Spokane

Memorial service for Charles Harold Smith, 69, will be at 1 p.m. today at Emmanuel Presbyterian Church. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Smith, who was born in St. John, Wash., died Thursday. He graduated from Lewis and Clark High School and had lived in Spokane for 69 years.

He had worked in the automotive business for 40 years and was a member of Emmanuel Presbyterian Church, where he served as a deacon and an elder.

He was a World War II Army veteran.

Mr. Smith is survived by his wife of 48 years, Ruth Smith; two children, Terry Smith of Missoula, and Sherri Schoch of Beaverton, Ore.; and four grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Emmanuel Presbyterian Church Youth Group Project.

Patrick Kelly Spokane

No service will be held for Patrick E. Kelly, at his request.

Mr. Kelly, 72, died Thursday. He was born in Potlatch, Idaho.

He came to Spokane with his family in 1929.

He enlisted in the Navy in 1940 and served on the USS Colorado. He returned to Spokane following World War II and enlisted in the Army and was stationed in Japan. He also served in the Korean War.

Mr. Kelly has lived in Spokane for the past 30 years.

He is survived by his mother, Lillian Travis; two brothers, Merle and J.D. Kelly, all of Spokane.

Sister Marija Ona Puskorius Spokane

Rosary for Sr. Marija Ona Puskorius, 72, will be at 7 p.m. today at Mount Saint Michael’s. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Mount Saint Michaels.

Born Jania Navickas in Lithuania, Sr. Puskorius died Thursday.

She fled Communism and emigrated to America in 1949. She received a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in library science from Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.

In 1957 she married Jonas Puskorius, also a refugee from Lithuania.

Her husband died in 1980 and she entered the Congregation of Mary Immaculate Queen in 1981. She then took the name of Sister Marija Ona, which means Sister Mary Ann in Lithuanian. She was fluent in seven languages.

She developed a heart condition in late 1995.

Sr. Puskorius is survived by three children, who are all members of the Congregation of Mary Immaculate Queen. The survivors are a son, Father Casimir; two daughters, Sr. Mary Jacinta, and Sr. Maria Kazimiera, all of Spokane and Colbert; and one brother, Ted Navickas of Coeur d’Alene.

Catherine Rowe Pinehurst

Service for Catherine Ann Rowe, 32, will be Tuesday at the United Church of Kellogg. Burial will follow at Shoshone Memorial Gardens in Pinehurst. Shoshone Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Rowe, a lifetime Silver Valley resident, died Thursday in a traffic accident on Lookout Pass in Montana.

She attended schools in Kellogg and later moved to Pinehurst, where she recently worked at Silver Valley Building Supply.

She was a member of the Saturday Night Mixed Bowling League.

Survivors include her son, Bradley Enyart of Pinehurst; mother, Jo Ann Ross of Smelterville; two brothers, Johnny Rowe of Pinehurst, and Brad Rowe of Winnemucca, Nev.; three sisters, Teresa Rowe of Coeur d’Alene, Romona Rowe of Show Low, Ariz., and Samantha Cochrane of Smelterville; and special friend, Bill Orton of Pinehurst.

William Spencer Jr. Spokane

Graveside service for William H. Spencer Jr., 50, will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Spencer Cemetery near Troy, Idaho. Short’s Funeral Chapel of Moscow is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Spencer, a former Troy resident, died Thursday.

He was born in Little Rock, Ark., and moved to Troy as an infant.

He served in the Army, then lived in Lewiston, Clarkston and Seattle before moving to Spokane in 1988. He recently worked as a truck driver for Great Northern Warehouse Co. in Spokane.

Mr. Spencer loved to cook and enjoyed gardening.

Survivors include his wife of 10 years, Von; his parents, William and Pauline Spencer of Lewiston; a sister, Lauretta Zeller of Troy; a niece, Dawn Gludt of Troy; and a nephew, Aaron Zeller of Raymond, Wash.
