Hilde In Trouble Again

Compiled From Wire Services

Boise State football quarterback Tony Hilde is in legal trouble for the third time in seven months.

Hilde was fined $25 and his Isuzu Rodeo was towed this week after a Boise State parking officer noticed a stolen parking permit in the vehicle.

The pass, belonging to a Boise State employee, was reported stolen Feb. 13.

Hilde said the permit belonged to roommate and teammate Ryan Ikebe.

Ikebe, a senior wide receiver from West Linn, Ore., said he was approached by the male student last month in the student union building. The student told Ikebe he was leaving school, needed money, and would sell his $110 parking permit for $20.

In Santa Clara, Calif., authorities were trying to determine whether a star Stanford University football player was involved with a plan to solicit suggestive photos from high school football players.

An investigation began six weeks ago after a Santa Clara high school student complained that he was asked to mail a picture of himself shirtless because a Stanford assistant coach wanted to examine his muscles.

Last month, authorities questioned Eric Abrams, Stanford’s leading scorer, after Abrams retrieved a package the postal inspector’s office sent to an address that the suspect listed.

In Raleigh, N.C., three North Carolina State football players have been arrested on felony breaking-and-entering charges after some cars were broken into outside a movie theater.

Coach Mike O’Cain also announced the three players - juniors Chris McNeil and Steven McKnight and sophomore Brian Brooks - were kicked off the team.
