Thieves Threaten Man, Steal His Car

Thu., March 7, 1996

Car thieves threatened a driver with a shotgun Wednesday night in north Spokane before stealing his Nissan Sentra, police said.

Four male suspects forced the driver out of the car at Wellesley and Division shortly after 9 p.m., Spokane Police Sgt. Wally Cusick said.

The victim, who wasn’t injured, called police.

Two of the thieves drove off in the Sentra and were spotted by police minutes later at Ash and Glass. They ran from police, but were caught and detained, Cusick said.

Their names were not immediately available.

Police were searching late Wednesday for the other suspects.
