Tyson’s Appeal Denied

The New Jersey Supreme Court denied an appeal by fighter Mike Tyson to overturn a judge’s order and allow him to fight WBA champion Bruce Seldon in July.

The court voted unanimously to deny the WBC champion’s appeal, keeping in place a temporary restraining order that forbids Tyson from fighting anyone other than British heavyweight Lennox Lewis until a lawsuit is settled.

The heavyweight championship bout between Michael Moorer and Axel Schulz for the vacant IBF title will take place in Dortmund, Germany, on June 22.
