Pianist Majewski Performs At Met
The Spokane String Quartet brings pianist Tadeusz Majewski to The Met Sunday for Schumann’s Piano Quartet in E-flat major, as well as piano works by Schubert, Bach and Chopin.
Majewski is a Chopin specialist who has won Chopin competitions in his native Poland and in the United States. He will perform a representative Nocturne, Mazurka and Polonaise by the Polish composer, and four waltzes, including the famous Minute Waltz.
Also included will be a handful of Chopin’s Preludes (Op. 28), those Romantic distillations for the keyboard.
The concert is at 3 p.m.; tickets are $12, $10 for seniors and students, available at The Met, Hoffman Music, Street Music and at G&B outlets.
