Three Junior College Transfers Join New Assistant At Nic

The North Idaho College mens basketball team has signed three junior college transfers and an assistant, the school announced Sunday.

The three players, who will all have one year of eligibility left, and the assistant, Mark White, are from Jacksonville Junior College in Jacksonville, Texas

Six-foot-1 guards Andra McKanstery and Shawn Myrick and 6-4 wing Chris Harrison will join the Cardinals next season. Myrick scored 47 points in one game last year.

White was previously an assistant at Barton County JC in Great Bend, Kansas, and at Division I Austin Peay before taking the job at Jacksonville.

Golf

Chris Hancock of Hayden won his third straight Greater Chilco Open at Rimrock Golf Course with a two-day 8-over par 116.

Ernie Hill of Shoshone was second, two strokes behind. Mike Lupinacci of Coeur d’Alene finished third.

Net winner was Mike Ryan of Spokane with a 1-under 107. Women’s winner was Doni Johnson of Coeur d’Alene and Mark Robertson of Wallace, Idaho, won the junior division.

Ted Watson of Coeur d’Alene had a hole in one on No. 6. 152 yards with an 8-iron. Watson finished sixth.

Britney Holt from Mead High School finished 10th at the Kraft Farr and Above Junior Classic in Lincoln, Calif.

Holt was two strokes off the lead in second place after the first round but shot a 21-over 93 in the second round for a two-day total of 169.
