NEW FACES:

Packet Engines Inc., a Spokane-based company developing gigabit Ethernet technology and products, has added the following people to its management team:

Barbara A. Fiske was named general counsel and vice president of administration. She most recently was senior attorney for Intel Corp. in Santa Clara, Calif. Earlier, Fiske was an associate attorney in corporate practice with Brown & Wood in San Francisco, an associate in corporate and intellectual property practice with Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich & Rosati in Palo Alto, Calif., and an associate in corporate and entertainment practice with White & Case in Los Angeles.

Pete Price joined Packet Engines as director of finance and corporate controller. Price formerly was North American controller for Microsoft Corp. in Redmond, Wash. A certified public accountant, he earlier was a senior manager with Ernst & Young.

Octavio Morales was named director of product management. Morales previously worked for Symbios Logic (formerly NCR Corp.) in Fort Collins, Colo., where he managed product development and engineering activities for Fibre Channel protocol controllers/transceivers.

Quinn Group Advertising and Marketing has hired the following people:

Jack Lippard joined the firm as a copywriter and radio/TV producer. Lippard, who received a bachelor’s degree in theater from Eastern Washington University last year, previously worked for Horizon Air at Spokane International Airport.

Tom Stuart is an account manager at Quinn Group. Stuart, who owned and operated several movie theaters for 12 years, also served as the media manager and sales manager for a small business college. He most recently worked as an account executive at KAYU-TV.

Windermere Real Estate’s Spokane-Maple office has added an associate broker and four sales associates to its staff:

Steve Hagen, who has five years of experience in real estate, was named associate broker. He most recently was a broker for John L. Scott. Earlier he worked as a sales and marketing manager at a department store for four years.

Julie Mulvey returned to Windermere after two years with Re/ Max of Spokane. She has six years of real estate experience.

Shawn Codd is a six-year real estate veteran. Codd, who also has experience in advertising sales, previously worked for John L. Scott.

Lorenda Rae is new to real estate. She has worked for Silverado/ Triathlon Broadcasting since 1992 and has been in the broadcasting industry for seven years.

Andrew Otero, who also is new to real estate, has worked for The Spokesman-Review since 1994. He is a Marine Corps veteran.

KSPS public television and the Friends of Seven have hired the following people:

Jeff Ables, formerly with KISS-FM, was named director of corporate underwriting.

Sherri McKay was chosen to lead the accounting department of the Friends of Seven.

Kevin Hurd was named postal specialist for the station.

Rick Sailors, former director of corporate support, has been named director of program development.

MOVING UP:

Randy Wild, general manager of Inland Asphalt Co., has been named a vice president of the company and a member of its board of directors. Inland Asphalt is a subsidiary of CPM Development Corp.

Integrus Architecture P.S. has named three employees as principals in the firm:

Douglas Bailey has been with Integrus since 1991. Bailey, who served as a national director of the American Institute of Architects from 1992-1994, will lead business developments for Integrus.

John Cuddy, who joined Integrus in 1990, will lead major engineering efforts for the firm. He is active in both the Structural Engineers Association of Washington and the American Society of Civil Engineers.

Mark Dailey has been with Integrus since 1990. He leads design efforts for a variety of the firm’s public projects, including the Phase I Academic Building, Spokane Higher Education Park, which won a Spokane AIA Honor Award this year.

ELECTED:

Partners, a business-education program which oversees more than 100 individual partnerships between schools and businesses, has chosen the following new officers for its advisory council: chairman, Marilyn McClellan, Spokane Public Schools; chairman-elect, Elaine Cullen, National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health; secretary, Mary Ann Ashlock, Spokane Catholic Diocese; treasurer, Patsy Haworth, Spokane Teachers Credit Union; immediate past chairman, Jim Bowles, Safeco Credit; Partners-at-large committee chairman, Barb Swan, American Express Financial Advisors; and school liaison committee chairman, Ruth Bragg, Spokane Public Schools.

APPOINTED:

Bill Williams Jr., chairman and chief executive officer of Telect Inc., has been named to serve on the board of directors of the 14,000-member National Association of Manufacturers for 1996-97.

Dr. Charles R. Wolfe of Occupational Medicine Associates has been named the interim active president of the Washington State Medical Association’s Labor and Industries Liaison Committee.

KUDOS:

The American Public Transit Association has awarded Spokane Transit four first place awards in the 1996 Ad Wheels Awards competition.
