Teens May Plead Insane In Baby’s Death

Lawyers for two teenagers charged with murder in the death of a newborn have hired psychiatric experts, raising the possibility they may use mental illness as a defense.

Amy Grossberg and Brian Peterson Jr., both 18, are each charged with first-degree murder. A baby boy born in a Newark, Del., motel last week was abandoned in a trash bin and found dead the next day.

Prosecutors say they will seek the death penalty.
