Pang Arson Trial Delayed Until April
The trial of Martin Pang on first-degree murder and arson charges has been postponed from Feb. 4 to April 7 because his defense lawyer needs more time to prepare.
John Henry Browne asked for the delay, saying there was much pretrial work to be done and a long list of witnesses to deal with.
King County Superior Court Judge Larry Jordan approved the delay on Tuesday.
Pang, 41, is accused of setting fire to his parents’ frozen-food warehouse for insurance money. Four Seattle firefighters died in the Jan. 5, 1995, blaze.
