County Library Books Can Be Dropped Off At New Glenrose Box

From Staff And Wire Reports

Spokane County Library users in the Glenrose area can drop off books at a new outdoor drop spot.

Starting Monday, library staff will collect materials deposited at a drive-in return box at the Fire District 8 station near 57th and Regal.

The box will save time for library patrons in that area who otherwise would need to drive to the Valley branch or other locations.

“We’re hoping this serves the growing population in the area from Glenrose to the south and west,” said County Library District Director Mike Wirt.

The library still mails available materials to a cardholder’s home on request.

By next winter, Wirt hopes to add dial-in access by computer, letting users search for and request materials from their home or business.
