Hints From Heloise

King Features Syndicate

Dear Heloise: Have you looked at some of the manufacturer’s food coupons lately? They come in all sizes and shapes. And the expiration dates! They go all the way from the 1st of the month to the 31st and every date in between.

Maybe you will be able to get a message across to the manufacturers of the coupons that they could all be the same, uniform size. That would be a very big help, as some of them are so small and others are so large they have to be folded in half.

Next, the dates. It would be much more convenient if they all could be dated the 1st, 15th or the 30th of the month.

It’s very embarrassing to hand a coupon to the cashier and have her tell you that it expired on the 9th or the 21st or anywhere in between.

I’m sure many people would be very pleased to see a uniform size and have only two or three expiration dates, as mentioned above. - Marlene D. Todd, West Caldwell, N.J.
