Children Find Baby Left On Church Steps

A naked baby boy was left on the steps of a rural Nebraska church Friday perhaps an hour after he was born, and police are searching for a mother who probably needs medical help.

Sheriff Neil Miller said the 7-pound baby was about one or two hours old when he was found, lying on a small, folded towel by children on their way to school.

The newborn was in critical condition.
