Dress It Russian Style

The dressings are coming, the dressings are coming!

After experimenting with her favorite Russian dressing recipe at home for more than 20 years, Rathdrum’s Peggy Alderman recently began bottling and selling it under The Coeur d’Alene Dressing Co. label. Thick, sweet-tart and tomatoey, it also does double duty as a barbecue sauce and marinade.

Coming soon: a ginger dressing.

Price: About $4 for 12 ounces.

Available: Copper Colander, Hallett Farms Gift Pax and Harry O’s Fresh Market in Spokane, Northwest Gift Outlet and Michels Restaurant in Post Falls, Idaho Gift Co. and The Coeur d’Alene Resort in Coeur d’Alene, Rathdrum IGA and various specialty stores in Sandpoint.
