Rice Krispies Treats Get Big Thumbs-Up

Rick Bonino Food Editor

Sure, you could get out the mixing bowls and aprons and spend some quality time with your kids making Rice Krispies treats.

Or you could make a quick trip to the supermarket and buy some of the new, premade marshmallow squares from Kellogg’s, which got good grades from both children and adults at a recent all-ages session of The Spokesman-Review’s reader food panel.

Sure, they cost about 30 cents each, compared to around a dime from scratch. But with the time you save, you can spend some quality time with your kids watching TV and eating Rice Krispies treats, or something.
