Routine Traffic Stop Turns Into Meth Bust

From Staff And Wire Reports

Kootenai County sheriff’s deputies arrested a Post Falls man Tuesday after allegedly catching him with an ounce of methamphetamine.

Following a routine traffic stop shortly before 10 a.m., passenger David Klundt, 38, was found in possession of the drug, authorities said.

He was also arrested for possessing a concealed weapon - a loaded, semi-automatic pistol.

The driver of the Chevrolet Blazer, Edward Shrull, 22, of Spokane, was arrested for driving without privileges and obstructing officers. Two other passengers were questioned but not arrested.

Narcotics officers later searched Klundt’s Post Falls home, where a 17-year-old girl was arrested for possessing meth. , DataTimes
