Wildlife Biologist To Lecture On Wetland Habitats

Pat Cole, a wildlife biologist for the Idaho Department of Fish and Game, will present a slide show and lecture on wetland habitats and non-game wildlife Thursday at Sandpoint Community Hall.

The slide show is being sponsored by the Panhandle Loons & Wetlands Project.

Cole will talk about observing wildlife in the Pend Oreille and MacArthur Lake wildlife management areas and about improving wetlands on private lands.

Before the slide show, members of the project will conduct a brief meeting to discuss restricting personal watercraft in sensitive wildlife and wetland areas on Lake Pend Oreille and Priest and Upper Priest lakes, as well as constructing a waste dump near Denton Slough near Hope, Idaho.
