Coca-Cola Joins “Silver Country”

Coca-Cola has joined a growing list of national advertisers focusing attention on “Silver Country” - a recreational tourism region comprised of Spokane County, North Idaho and western Montana.

The soft drink company has rolled out an in-store promotion called “Snowmobile Silver Country - the World’s Last Frontier.” Contest winners will receive guided snowmobile tours on sections of the 1,000-mile Silver Country trail system, Best Western lodging, Yamaha snowmobile gear and use of a Dodge Durango during their visit.

The contest will be featured this month in Albertson’s stores in Spokane and North Idaho, and Super One locations in Montana.

Other companies with similar advertising and promotional tie-ins with Silver Country over the past year include Isuzu Motor Corp., Kawasaki, Universal Pictures and Yamaha Motor Corp. , DataTimes
