Diners Club Finals Set

Gil Morgan’s 18-foot birdie putt on the fifth hole of sudden death advanced him and partner Jay Siegel to the Senior PGA final in the $2.1 million Diners Club matches.

Morgan’s putt eliminated Jack Kiefer and Bob Duval.

Bob Eastwood and Walter Morgan made the finals with a 2-and-1 victory over David Graham and Chi Chi Rodriguez.

In the PGA Tour competition, Tom Lehman and Duffy Waldorf made the finals with a 4-and-3 victory over Mark Calcavecchia and Jeff Sluman. They’ll play Steve Elkington and Jeff Maggert, who beat Brad Faxon and Billy Andrade in a playoff.

In the LPGA division, Nancy Lopez and Laura Davies beat Helen Alfredsson and Alison Nicholas 2-up to advance to the final against Juli Inkster and Dottie Pepper.

Inkster and Pepper’s 4-and-3 victory over Colleen Walker and Brandie Burton completed a 3-0 sweep of their bracket.
