Three Jump From Second Story To Escape Christmas Tree Fire
Three people jumped from their second-floor apartment on Sunday to escape a fire that started on their Christmas tree.
A man who suffered third-degree burns over 20 percent of his body was taken to Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center’s burn unit. His condition was not being released.
A 6-year-old boy and a woman were treated for smoke inhalation, city fire department spokesman Brian Humphrey said.
The three people jumped from a window after a security guard moved a trash bin below to cushion their fall.
