Hotel Operator Picks Wwp Unit For Audit

From Staff And Wire Reports

An Indiana-based franchisee of Marriott Hotels has selected WWP Energy Solutions to audit energy use at the properties it owns in seven states.

The contract with White Lodging Services Corp. is the first with an operator in the hotel industry, said Pat Lynch, a spokesman for Washington Water Power Co., the parent of WWP Resources.

WWP Resources has reached a similar agreement with a group of 210 hospitals in California.

White Vice President John LaHaise said the deal will help the company prepare for the deregulated energy market that lies ahead.

“To be able to show and compare energy information with our managers gives them the feeling that utility expenditures are controllable,” he said.

Besides the energy audit, the agreement also allows White to use other WWP Resource services such as consolidated billing and energy information systems.
