Artery Disease Linked To Cysts In Ovaries
Researchers in New Zealand say there appears to be a link between coronary artery disease and multiple cysts in the ovaries, a finding that suggests doctors treating either condition should be on the lookout for signs that the other may be present.
The study of women with arterial disease, published in the Jan. 1 issue of the journal Annals of Internal Medicine, found that those with the most extensive vessel narrowing had the highest incidence of polycystic ovaries, which was elevated for the entire group.
