Homeless Advocates Occupy Hotel Lobby
About 30 homeless advocates burst into a swank Paris hotel and occupied the lobby Tuesday to bring attention to homeless people who have died in a cold wave this week.
Members of the Committee of the Homeless, who intended to spend the rest of the day in the Grand Hotel Intercontinental, also demanded a meeting with the housing minister to talk about a long-term plan for housing the homeless.
Eleven people have died from the cold in France in the past week, most of them homeless.
