For ages 11 and up, Fimo Beadmaking will be offered Jan. 27 from 1 to 3 p.m. for $15. And on March 11 and 12, a special Interarts workshop will be offered to people ages 9 and up. This workshop integrates music and drama with musician Tino Jimenez. Cost is $20.

Don’t forget, the art school also offers several Saturday and evening workshops. Spring break sessions for youth and adults will be offered April 7-11.

Batter up: Whitworth College is holding two baseball camps this winter. Players ages 7 through 13 will meet Jan. 18 and 19, and players ages 14 through 19 will meet Feb. 1 and 2.

Camps run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday. Cost is $50, including lunch, or $45 without lunch. A team price of $200 for a group of five players is also available.

For more information and/or registration materials, call the Whitworth Athletic Department at 466-3235 or 466-3224.

Something different: The Spokane branch of the Young Socialists is sponsoring a free showing of the film “Incident at Oglala” tonight at Spokane’s downtown library.

The film, about the American Indian Movement and Leonard Peltier’s arrest, begins at 6 p.m. It will be followed by a speech on the genocide of Indians and discussion.
