Stanford Wins; Arizona Upset

Associated Press

Pac-10

Tim Young scored 20 points and grabbed a career-high 21 rebounds Thursday night at Eugene, Ore., as 15th-ranked Stanford came from eight points down in the final 4:20 of regulation to beat No. 24 Oregon 72-69 in overtime.

The 7-foot-1 sophomore’s dominance inside helped offset an icy shooting night for the Cardinal.

Jamaal Lawrence made 8 of 11 3-pointers for a season-high 29 points for Oregon, but his attempt for a game-tying 3-pointer at the buzzer was far off the mark.
