Hydroplane Driver Dies

A hydroplane crashed during a Formula One boat race on the Pamlico River, killing the driver. No one else was injured.

James Hauenstein, 53, of Woodlake, Calif., suffered a ruptured aorta when the boat overturned, said Washington Fire Chief John Krone.
