Atlas Air Buys 10 Boeing 747s

Atlas Air Inc. announced a final agreement Monday to buy 10 Boeing 747-400 freighters powered by General Electric engines.

Atlas also has an option to purchase an additional 10.

A dollar value for the deal was not immediately announced. An Atlas spokesperson said the list price for the planes would be $1.68 billion, but that was not necessarily the negotiated price.
