Associated Press

American League

Chili Davis drove in three runs with two hits, including his fourth home run in five games, and Jose Rosado allowed one run in eight innings Wednesday to lead Kansas City to a 6-1 victory over the Anaheim Angels.

Davis’ 10th home run of the season, a 420-foot shot to left-center on an 0-1 pitch in the third, put him 70th (with 308) on the all-time home run list and continued his torrid week at the plate.

The Kansas City designated hitter also doubled in two runs in the first, driving home Jose Offerman and Jay Bell when left fielder Garrett Anderson failed to make a diving catch.

Davis has 15 RBIs on 12-for-23 hitting in the last seven games. The 37-year-old has 38 RBIs for the season.

Ivan Rodriguez and Rusty Greer also homered for the Rangers, who matched a season high with 18 hits to tune up for today’s first interleague game against the San Francisco Giants.
