Model Blames Bubbly

It was the champagne, supermodel Naomi Campbell said Monday, denying that she had overdosed on barbiturates, and that she had fought with her boyfriend, flamenco dancer Joaquin Cortes. Campbell, hospitalized Sunday in the Canary Islands, said: “I was taking antibiotics and I had taken a glass of champagne, which I should not have done.” During an “Entertainment Tonight” interview, she also denied reports she fought with Cortes. “He doesn’t speak English and I don’t speak Spanish. We barely can hold a conversation that’s proper together. It’s impossible for us to fight.”
