Associated Press

Between 1991 and 1995, 56,000 companies moved across state lines, taking more than 1 million jobs with them, according to a study by Dun & Bradstreet, the business research company.

The study showed that New York and California were the biggest losers, while the South Atlantic and Mountain states were the biggest beneficiaries of the job shift.
