That’s Just Peachy

You may have to break some eggs to make an omelet, but you can make a salsa without any tomatoes.

Quinn’s Peach Salsa, from Ellensburg, Wash., is a mildly spicy, sweet-tart mixture that includes peaches, cantaloupe, pineapple, orange and red bell peppers, Walla Walla sweet onions, fresh ginger and just a hint of habanero peppers.

It’s particularly tasty on sandwiches, or with grilled meats and seafoods. And if you want to dip a chip or two, we won’t tell.

Price: $4.50-$6 for 16 ounces.

Available: In Spokane at Mango ‘n Chili, Joel, Harry O’s, Made in Washington, Simply Northwest, Northwest Gourmet and Hallett Farms, or by mail from Quinn’s Specialty Foods (509-962-8383, or FAX 509-962-8385).
