Businesses’ Safes Not Safe Enough

Money was reported stolen from safes in separate weekend business burglaries.

Employees of the Cove Bowl on Sherman Avenue found the safe closed but unlocked when they got to work Saturday morning. More than $600 was missing, according to a police report.

Burglars apparently broke an office window on the west side of the building to get in, the police report said.

Money that had been locked in a safe at Wendy’s Restaurant on Canfield Avenue also was missing Friday morning. An unknown amount of money was taken. , DataTimes
