Pedophilia Suspects Die In Group Suicide

Compiled From Wire Services

Two men died and another was in a critical condition Monday after what police described as an attempted group suicide by alleged pedophiles.

The three men, all youth workers from New South Wales, were found Sunday in a parked car near the Queensland town of Esk, the Sydney Morning Herald newspaper reported.

The paper said police sources had confirmed two of the men had been charged last week by the New South Wales Police Child Protection Enforcement Agency with child sex offenses.

The third man was wanted by detectives for questioning in relation to similar offenses.

Two of the men were pronounced dead at the scene and the third was taken by helicopter to Royal Brisbane Hospital.

The deaths follow a major judicial investigation into police corruption in New South Wales, which exposed networks of child abusers.
