Debate Set Today On Initiative 676

A debate on Initiative 676 will be held from 10 to 10:30 a.m. today in the Spokane City Council chambers at City Hall.

Spokane Police Chief Terry Mangan, who opposes the measure, and Seattle federal prosecutor Tom Wales, cochairman of the “Yes on 676” campaign, will face off in a debate.

The initiative on the Nov. 4 ballot would require handgun owners to get a safety license and a trigger lock. , DataTimes
