Shoshone County Exit 49 Closed For Maintenance

From Staff And Wire Reports

Motorists in Shoshone County exiting Interstate 90 eastbound will have to find an alternate route for Exit 49 on Monday.

The Idaho Transportation Department will close eastbound Bunker St. Exit 49 into Kellogg from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. while crews do maintenance work on the interchange bridge.

Motorists should use the Hill St. Exit 50 during the closure.

The Trestle Creek road near Hope, Idaho, will be closed for repairs from Sept. 9 through Sept. 19, the Forest Service announced Friday.

The road, Forest Road 275, will be closed weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to replace culverts in a 5-mile stretch. The road will be closed for two whole days beginning 8 a.m. Sept. 15 and ending at 5 p.m. Sept. 16.

Larger culverts will replace smaller ones to minimize future flooding problems, according to Larry Elliot, Sandpoint District road management coordinator.

The road is one of the primary accesses into the southwestern end of the Cabinet Mountains. For more information, call 263-5111.
