Olivetti Changes Name To Olsy

Olivetti North America Inc. has changed its name to Olsy North America Inc. as part of an effort to reinforce ties to its Italian parent company, Olsy S.p.A.

Olsy is the largest company within Olivetti, which has based its North American operations in Liberty Lake since buying ISC Systems Corp. in 1989.

The company provides hardware and software systems to banks and fast-food outlets, and support for networks owned by others.

Olsy North America employs 1,250, slightly less than half of those in Liberty Lake.

Olsy S.p.A employs 13,500 worldwide. Revenues in 1996 exceeded $3 billion.
