Gunshot Wounds Spur Homicide Probe

From Staff Reports

A man whose body was discovered in a remote area of Douglas County died of multiple gunshot wounds, and detectives are investigating the case as a homicide, Sheriff Dan LaRoche said Monday.

A bird-watcher found the body Sunday in a rugged canyon near Douglas Creek about 30 miles east of East Wenatchee, Wash., LaRoche said.

Deputies hope to identify him using fingerprints.

LaRoche said he was a white man between 20 and 30 years old. He probably died a day or two before he was found.

The man was clad in a camouflage shirt, black pants and black combat boots. , DataTimes
