Travelers Leases At Crescent Court

Travelers Property Casualty Corp. has selected a site for its national sales center in Spokane.

Travelers will lease 40,000 square feet of space on the third floor of downtown’s Crescent Court building at 707 W. Main. Travelers also has the option of expanding into additional space there, said Brad Seaton, director of human resources for Travelers personal lines.

Travelers will occupy the new offices Jan. 1, Seaton said.

While the space is being renovated, Travelers will be hiring employees to staff the center. The management team and sales consultants will be on board by mid-November, he said.

Travelers announced in August that it had selected Spokane as the site of its new national center. The center will offer auto, homeowners and personal liability policies.

Travelers plans to hire at least 80 employees for the center by the end of the year. The number of Travelers employees in Spokane is expected to grow to 500 by the year 2000.
